Configure Your Lottery Notifications to Guardians

Learn about the 5 default guardian lottery notifications available in Enroll

What's included in this article?

 

Five (5) Default Lottery Guardian Notification Options

To send information to guardians on Offered and Waiting List placements:

  1. Lottery Results - Offered
  2. Lottery Results - Waiting List 

- OR - 

3. Lottery Placement Email Consolidated - Sent to All Students Placed

    • This notification option would replace options 1 and 2
    • The Lottery Placement Email Consolidated template sends one email per student, listing all lottery placement results for the student
    • If the consolidated option is enabled, you are not able to select different email template options per program
    • Limitation: this email template does not support field variables for auto-decline/offer expiration.

To send information to guardians to confirm when they Accept and Decline placements:

What if I want to create program specific lottery notifications?

You have the ability to set program-specific notifications for lottery. To do this, navigate to Settings > Content/Letters > Email and Text Templates.

  1. Click Add New Template
  2. Give it a name
  3. Set the type as lottery
  4. Input your text message verbiage, subject, and email verbiage
  5. Review list of field variables available to include in your message
  6. Translate (if applicable)
  7. Click Save Template

 

Where do I assign Lottery Notification Templates to Programs?

Navigate to Settings > Schools/Programs > Manage Programs

  1. Click Edit (pencil icon) for the program you want to update
  2. Navigate to the Lottery Settings tab
  3. Select the desired email template in the notification dropdown you want to connect it to
  4. Save

Note: you can also bulk update program lottery notifications by selecting all programs you want to update, and click Bulk Actions > Lottery Settings > Notification Settings *
