Steps to Import Boundaries
To import boundaries, you'll follow the steps outlined below:
- Navigate to Settings > Boundaries > Import Boundaries
- Click "Choose File" and select a KML file to upload.
- Select the Boundary Type (e.g., School Zone).
- To delete any existing boundaries, select the option "Delete boundaries that are not in the import file".
- This will completely remove ANY boundaries from Enroll that do not have a corresponding file name in the imported file(s).
- For example, an existing school zone boundary is named "Boundary XYZ". If you upload a KML file without a boundary named "Boundary XYZ" in the file and select School Zone as the boundary type, then the existing "Boundary XYZ" will be deleted.
- Enter an optional Name Attribute if your boundary has a special name attribute key.
- Click "Import Boundary Data". If the import is successful, a modal window will be displayed that states, "A boundary file was imported successfully. Imported records: XX. The boundary will be recalculated tonight."
If the import is not successful, the message "Successfully imported KML file, imported records: XX will be displayed at the bottom of the page.
Note: If you import a boundary with the same name as an existing boundary, the new boundary will replace the existing boundary.
