Enroll Premium Enhancements
Admin MFA via Email
To protect sensitive student data and modernize our security standards, school admin users that don't already use a single sign-on (SSO) method to login to Enroll Premium, will soon be required to confirm their identity via a 6-digit code sent to the school email address used for their user name.
Users will have three tries to enter each code and would have to wait 30 seconds to resend a new code. Codes will expire after 3 attempts, 10 minutes, or a request for a new code.
This feature is configurable by SchoolMint technical support, and is rolling out over time to select clients, and ultimately all clients.
Import from Child Tables in Powerschool
Child tables that were previously available in SyncService were not available in the Import mapping page. Now they are, so SyncService users can setup an import to Enroll from child tables in Powerschool.
Bulk set dates for Registration and Re-Registration
Previously, default registration and re-registration dates had to be set for each individual school level. For large districts the number of school levels can be high, and setting the same default dates to all is labor intensive.
Now, we offer a bulk update option on the school level page to permit admins to set default registration or re-registration dates across any number or all school levels at one time.
Hard Stop Duplicate Check will Ignore Grade
Previously, there was an inconsistency in how we identified duplicate students. In most functions (list potential duplicates, flagging duplicates) we identified duplicates using three fields -- fname, lname, and DOB. However, for the hard stop duplicate check on the student information form, we included grade in the criteria, creating false positives for students that had the incorrect grade entered.
This has been remedied, and the hard stop for duplicates now evaluates the same three fields as elsewhere in the system -- fname, lname, and DOB.
Parent Dashboard - New Message alert!
Guardian users will now see a new message alert banner on their dashboard page if they have unread items in the message center. This is a great improvement because previously there was no indicator of unread messages unless the user navigated to the message center. The text and translations are configurable by the organization using the content snippets functionality.
Help icon "?" now links to Zendesk
The help icon "?" displayed at the top of each page within Enroll will now take the user to the consolidated Zendesk Help Center, from which they can review all the most current Release Notes, Knowledge Base articles, or request additional support.
Previously, this icon was taking the user to a static User Guide that was not as full featured as the full support platform.
Recruitment Enhancements
Additional Lead Source tables in Reporting
In our continuing efforts to expand the capabilities of our newest module -- Recruitment -- we have added additional detail tables to the reporting module so that Recruitment Leads can be fully reported on. These include the ability to report on Lead Stage, Lead Status, Lead Source, and Lead Source Detail. For more information on lead reporting visit this article -- Reporting on Recruitment Leads.
Notable Bug Fixes
Child table plug-in download
Some organizations experienced an issue downloading the required plugin to access the recently released child tables in the Powerschool API. If you experienced, or are experiencing this issue, please note the following steps to correct it by re-downloading the necessary plug-in
A new checkbox is available inside the connection card for API SIS providers.
The user can check the box when creating/editing a connection and click connect to pull the latest data from the provider.
New changes, like selecting or unselecting child tables, will reflect when the
Pull Connection Datais checked. Before enabling the child tables plug-in, the user needs to select the child tables they need.
Wording was updated for the information message displayed when enabling the child tables on the connection card.
A new option is available when clicking the three-dot menu on a connection card:
View Cache Itemsto see data pulled from the provider in a modal.A data fix is applied for all existing connections, so the checkbox is marked, and all the latest information is pulled for the connection to be stored.
Imports/exports are working as expected.
Ability to download attachments without downloading the whole form
When users choose to download attachment uploads only (no form steps), the print/download modal now defaults to Grouped by student, since that layout is the only one that applies. The option for One flat directory is hidden.
If users add steps or clear all attachments, both folder options show again and the choice resets to one flat directory.
Terminology change: Use Field Labels
On the General Settings page, the setting for Dynamic Views and Reports was clarified to explain that when checked, field choice labels will appear instead of the field choice values themselves. In other words, a language choice value may be "en" but the label is "English", and this setting chooses between the two, values or labels.
