Learn why an application may not be included in a lottery run.
After running a lottery, applications that were not included in the lottery run may be identified by navigating to the Applications module and using the `Not Placed` filter + the Programs included in your lottery run.
The Not Placed filter will look for applications that were:
- eligible for a program and grade included in the lottery run
- submitted during the date range of the lottery run
- but that do no have a lottery list or status
Confirm the items below when reviewing applications that you would expect to have a lottery result:
1). Is the submitted timestamp for the application outside of the Date Range selected for the lottery run?
To confirm the Date Range that was used in your lottery run, click the View Settings button found at the top of the lottery lists page.
2). Was the application status not marked as eligible (still `In Processing` status) at the time of the lottery, thereby excluding it from the lottery run?
3). If the application status was marked as eligible AFTER the lottery was run, but the Auto-Add Eligible Applications Post Lottery setting is not in use (unchecked), the application would not yet be on a lottery list.
4). Is the application is for a grade (ex: 8th) that is not associated with the Program(s) included the lottery run?
5). Is the application for a Program that was not included in the lottery run?
6). Was the application created after the lottery was run?
7). Is the application for a twin, triplet, etc. and the lottery setting "Place Multiples Together" is enabled? If so, all twin/triplet/multiples applications must be in a "Submitted" status. If one twin/triplet application is in "Not Submitted" status, all will be excluded from the lottery.
