Release 3.1 was successfully deployed on December 4, 2025 and included the following item
Restrict Specific Fields from Being Updated in PowerSchool
A new option has been added for PowerSchool Connections in Sync Service `Retain Existing SIS Value`. This option allows users to indicate when to retain the value that already exists in PowerSchool when syncing a student.
When this option is checked: If field X is checked and the student has already been created in the PowerSchool API, the value for field X will not be updated the next time we sync that student.
When this option is unchecked: If field X is unchecked, the value for field X will be sent to the API the next time we sync that student.
In the example below, if the Students.DCID field is populated in PowerSchool, it will not be overwritten by the value in SchoolMint. If it is null, then the value from SchoolMint will be added.
To clarify the purpose of another setting on the Sync Service mapping screen, we updated the column heading from `Overwrite` to `Update Null Value` and improved the tooltip to read: "Allows null or empty values to replace existing data. When checked, blank fields from the source will overwrite the current value during import or export."
