Learn what lead stages and statuses are used for and how they relate to Recruitment
What's included in this article?
Leads will have different "Stages" and "Statuses" as they move through the application/enrollment process. There are a handful of default stages and statuses that cannot be removed or edited, however, new stages and statuses can be added manually, according to your needs.
Stages and statuses are used to track what a lead has done already and what the logical next step would be for them to take.
Lead Stages
A lead stage is the phase of the interest to registration cycle.
There are five default Lead Stages:
Interest
Prospect
Application
Registration
Declined
Lead Statuses
A status is a specific "stop" found within a stage. Each stage has multiple statuses that a lead might fall within.
For example, in the Interest stage, the two default status options are "inquiry" and "contacted". A lead in the Interest stage with an "inquiry" status indicates that the lead is interested in the school and should be contacted. An Interest-Contacted lead has been contacted but has not indicated they are ready to move forward in the process.
How are stages and statuses used for Recruitment?
These data points can be updated manually or will update automatically based on activities within the Enroll platform. For example, if a lead creates an Enroll account and then submits an application for a student, the student will attach to the lead in the Recruitment Dashboard and the stage/status will update according to the application submission.
