New Enrollment Platform

For the past two years, we have been building a new enrollment and lottery platform that brings together the best of both SchoolMint and SmartChoice, with a new modern user interface and cutting-edge functionality that gives you more power to easily set up and manage all of your application, lottery, and registration needs out of the box.

SchoolMint Enroll launched on July 30th of 2021, and we are excited to tell you more about it!

What Is Enroll?

Enroll is our new flagship enrollment platform as a core product in SchoolMint's Strategic Enrollment Management suite. Our plan is to upgrade customers from SchoolMint Legacy and SmartChoice to this single go-forward platform and to focus on Enroll as the best enrollment platform in the world.

The first release of SchoolMint Enroll in July 2021 mainly included Applications and Lotteries, on a brand new platform with exciting new admin-facing enhancements that allow you to manage your own configurations that today in the legacy products often require SchoolMint development work.

We added Registration in v1.3 in November 2021 for the full end-to-end process of import > applications > lotteries > registration > export, and will continue to release exciting new features and updates in 2022 and beyond!

You Decide When to Move

Enroll is perfect for many customers, with amazing new features. We have several customers already successfully using Enroll today, and many others are either in the process of implementing Enroll or planning their upgrade now to the new platform. We expect everyone will be upgraded in the next year or two.

However, it's important to keep in mind that SchoolMint and SmartChoice were both built over many years. So while Enroll is the latest technology with many benefits, there may be features you use today in your current system that are not yet in Enroll but are coming in future versions. Or perhaps there is a different or even better way to achieve the same goals in Enroll.

Given that, our goal is to be completely transparent about what Enroll does amazingly well (better in many cases than the current products), and what it does not do yet. That way, you can decide if you’re a good candidate for the current version, or if you want to wait for a later version. When you are ready to upgrade, we will provide you with tools and training so that you are confident when you move to Enroll.

When Is Enroll Right for You?

With Registration in Enroll 1.3 now released and Recommendations plus Conditional Form Fields targeted for a Spring 2022 release, most customers can start planning their upgrade. Consider waiting for a future release if you need:
