We’re enhancing security for admin accounts with a new email-based login verification feature, rolling out on Thursday, June 18. Please see below for some important details:
What’s changing
After logging in with their password, admins will receive a 6-digit verification code via email that must be entered to access the platform. This adds an important security layer for administrator accounts.
Who is impacted
Admin accounts that log in with email and password
Not impacted
Parent accounts, or admins who log in via SSO (Single Sign-On)
Action required
To ensure uninterrupted access for your admins, please whitelist this sender email with your IT team before June 18: noreply+schoolmint@services.schoolmint.com
Many school districts have strict email filtering that may block automated verification codes. Whitelisting this address ensures codes reach your admins’ inboxes without delay.
What your admins will experience starting June 18:
Log in with email and password as usual
Receive a 6-digit code at the email address associated with their admin account
Enter the code to access the platform
Optional: Check “Don’t ask on this device for 30 days” to skip verification on trusted devices
Note: Admins who use the same device regularly will only need to verify once per month.
Need more time or have questions?
If you need assistance with whitelisting or would like to discuss the rollout timeline, please contact your Customer Success Manager or reply to this email.
Thank you for helping us keep your data secure.
