The Lead Source will capture where the lead was generated from. This is a high-level view of the generation point for the lead.

 

Lead Source Detail

The Lead Source Detail captures more specific information about the source. For example, if the Lead Source is an ad, the Lead Source Detail will indicate the social media site or the specific ad campaign that generated the lead.
