Learn how to bulk set eligibility for applications pre-lottery
Applications that are marked as "eligible" are available to be included in a lottery run, whereas applications that are "In Processing" or "Ineligible"will not be included in a lottery run.
Pre-Lottery
Step One:
Navigate to the Applications Module by clicking on the Application Icon on the Navigation bar.
Step Two:
Apply any Quick Filters as necessary, then scroll down to view the records table. If you hover over any of the checkboxes on the left-hand side, text will appear indicating if a student is in one of the following statuses: Eligible, Ineligible, or In Processing. There are also color indicators to see status at a glance.
- Red = Ineligible
- Yellow = In Processing
- Green = Eligible
Step Three:
From here you can select application records in the table using the checkboxes on the left-hand side of the page for any applications you'd like to update. Select one, a few, or all students (using the top checkbox) and then click on the Bulk Action button, then Update Application Status.
Step Four:
A pop-up will appear titled Update Application Status. It will confirm the number of applications to be updated, and present a dropdown menu to choose which status you'd like to bulk update the applications with. Select the appropriate status, then click Update Applications.
Post-lottery
Important Note: Marking applications as eligible IN BULK POST-LOTTERY should NOT be done if you are using the post-lottery setting: "Auto-add eligible applications to lottery list after initial lottery is run".
- If this post-lottery setting is enabled, applications should be reviewed and marked as eligible one at a time, in the order you want the application added to the post-lottery list.
- If the applications are marked as eligible in bulk with this post-lottery setting ON, the application id will determine the ordering of those applications on the post-lottery list.
